Help with my Primo XL

Trying to get my Primo XL to 700 for a good pizza night with the family but it won't climb past 525. I've doublechecked my lump charcoal and made sure I'm not choking it with debris but I'm still stuck.
Could lid sealing be part of the issue? Seems airtight but wondering if there's a trick to boosting the heat faster.

You mentioned have checking the lid seal, but even a small leak can prevent that vacuum effect needed for serious heat.
Do the paper test by close the lid on a strip of paper at various points. If you can pull the paper out easily, you've got a leak that needs addressing (often with new gasket material)

Brilliant and simple trick, thank you. I was just eyeballing the seal but the paper test is a surefire way to know for certain. I'll give that a shot tonight and see what I find.
