Grate movement

I think this grill's grates move too much, while its nice for heat retention and flavor, its kinda annoying now, I've got a medium sized ceramic grill and it can be hard when I'm doing a multi zone setup or trying to rotate a cast iron pan or loading heavier cuts, the firebox and ring setting are very much okay too me so is it just part of the design or what or is there a way to reduce its movement

Yeah, it's kinda normal, but you can try using high-temp felt or small clips to snug the grates up a bit, it helps with stability during heavier cooks

I agree with @XeroM_, some are just really designed like that!
We would use high-temperature silicon shims to reduce the movement.
An alternate would be to insert small pieces of aluminum foil between the grate and the ceramic ring.
Just make sure you don't compromise the airflow and whatever you use is rated for the high temperatures your grill reaches!

If you're fussing over grate wobble on a ceramic grill, you're probably overthinking what's meant to be a primal, fire-driven cooking experience. Half the joy of grilling is imperfection and adaptation, if you wanted surgical precision and zero movement, maybe a sous-vide setup in your kitchen is more your speed.
